I've tried four different tires on my pickup over the years and these are actually the best. I was looking for an aggressive tread for my lifted 4x4 and since I leave them on all year round, winter performance is something that is important. I was actually looking to replace the set of General Grabber AT2's that were pretty worn but the shop I went to didn't have them in stock. The salesman recommended the WRG3 SUV's so I decided to try them out even though they didn't have the "look" I wanted. In the month that I've had them on, I've driven through practically every type of weather condition from dry pavement to deep snow and I've been amazed how well they perform.
On bare pavement, they are pretty quiet and smooth; more like a typical all-season tire. Of course, they don't have an aggressive tread so I was expecting that. In deep snow and slush, they perform a lot like a snow tire and I find that I can drive in 2 wheel drive mode most of the time whereas the other tires I've had wouldn't hook up enough on hill starts or deep snow. Ice is still a problem but I feel they provide a decent amount of traction and are very predictable. I think these are about as good as you can get without dedicated snow tires and they can be left on all year round.
If you're looking for an aggressive tread or need hard-core off-road traction, these aren't for you but if you want a tire that'll perform well in all other conditions, you can't go wrong with these!
